Advance & Conquer provides a fun, supportive atmosphere for members to work on advanced manual projects, as well as for those who would like the opportunity to work with and obtain evaluations from experienced Toastmasters. We have the distinction of having members who have competed in all four of the Toastmasters International speech contests at the District level, and include current and past high ranking Toastmasters officers at both the District and the International level. DC Advanced Speakers is an Advanced club, specializing in evaluations. The club has knowledgeable evaluators with many years of experience to suggest improvements. NTL (Never Too Late) Advanced (Division D, Area 44)
This advanced club specializes in providing evaluations that lead to measurable growth in your speaking and leadership skills. Our members include many current and previous district leaders. Besides the usual speeches, each meeting includes a discussion of general Toastmaster topics to share ideas and to suggest new ways to improve club meetings or other Toastmaster activities. In the past year, we have expanded publicity through the 2009-2010 Monthly Tour T-shirts and other outreach activities. Description
Giddeeup Governors provides a forum for current and past district leaders, particularly current and former Area and Division Governors and Club Presidents and Vice Presidents of Education, to share their ideas and experience to solve problems and develop new approaches to helping members, clubs and the District succeed. The club focuses on building and enhancing the leadership skills of its members. Through their speeches, members develop presentations and ideas district leaders can use to help clubs, areas and divisions meet their goals.
This club specializes in humorous speeches and helping members learn to be funny. The meetings include humor tips with discussions, and evaluations include critiques of the humor in the speech as well as suggestions on how to make the items funnier. Anyone who knew Jim Whitney knows he was all about the members. It didn’t matter if you were a potential member, a new member or a seasoned member, he was ready to help you in any way he could. This club was chartered as a tribute to him and includes members who are dedicated to his memory, knowledgeable about membership recruitment and retention, and the Toastmasters program.
