District 36 holds contests twice a year.
In the Fall, we have a District Humorous Speech and Table Topics contest. Club level contests begin as early as August, with Area contests normally in September and Division contests in October. The winners at Division level in both Humorous Speech and Table Topics compete in the District contest at the Fall Conference in November.
In the Spring, we have a District International Speech and Evaluation contest. Club level contests begin as early as February, with Area contests normally in March and Division contests in April. The winners at Division level in both International Speech and Evaluation compete in the District contest at the Spring Conference in May.
