 Contests
The Spring Contest Season has started – District 36 holds the International Speech and Evaluation contests which occur at the club, area, division, and district levels. The International Speech contest is called that because it goes beyond the district level to the International Convention in August.

Are you ready to hold your club contest? These need to be held in February (or even earlier in January) so that club contestants have enough time to refine and practice their speech before the Area Contest, which is usually held in March. Division Contests are usually held in April, so the winners can practice their winning speeches before the District Contest in May. The 2012 District 36 International Speech Contest will be held on May 19. The winner of the District International Speech Contest goes to the Semi-Finals in Orlando, Florida (Aug 15-18, 2012).

Contest Matching Service

District 36 has started a new matching service between club members willing to fill contest roles and those needing contest help. The contest matching service is to facilitate requests for help and volunteers. It is not intended to replace requests made in person.

If you are volunteering to help at a contest, completing the form does not guarantee you will be selected. Final selection will be determined by contest coordinators/chairs.

If a match is found, contact information will be forwarded to relevant individuals.

We hope this service will be useful.  Please bear with us during the initial launch.

I wish everyone a great Spring Contest Season!
